About Usha

My name is Usha. I have 16+ years of experience working as a childcare provider, infant/toddler teacher and preschool teacher at my home as well as in some of the best schools in the Bay Area. I have completed early child development and curriculum units from local colleges. I am CPR/First aid certified and trained in health and safety including COVID-19 protocols. I have taken care of 100’s of children over 16 years, many of them are now in high school and middle school, doing excellent in academics as well as extra-curricular fields.

Little bit about my background, I was born in beautiful coastal town of Udupi in India, grew up in Pune, and earned my bachelor degree from Pune University. In 2005, I moved to the Bay area with my husband and son. I started volunteering at my son's pre-school, and then I started my own home daycare in Cupertino since I wanted to spend time at home taking care of my son when he was in elementary and middle school. In 2016, I joined Bright Horizons and worked as infant /toddler teacher, young preschool and preschool teacher. In 2020, my son got admitted to UC Santa Barbara and we moved to beautiful San Ramon, twin creeks area. We love this place and friendly neighbors!

I love cooking, gardening, walking and hiking. I am a person with lot of energy, a good sense of humor and positive outlook. I like to show my “I can do it” attitude towards the new challenges. I believe teaching is noble profession, I love to work with children and parents.

Our Vision and Philosophy

Our vision is to provide a loving, caring, and safe educational environment in which children are encouraged to explore and experience the world around

  • We believe in providing an environment where children are valued and encouraged to thrive and reach towards their full potential as unique individuals

  • We believe that children should be respected, encouraged, and given time to grow and absorb the world

  • We believe that children are very important members of society and childcare is an extension of the family

  • We believe in providing a developmentally appropriate environment, which challenges, stimulates, and builds upon a child’s self-esteem through mastery

  • We believe that children learn through interacting with their environment to develop emotionally, cognitively, socially, and physically

  • We believe that parents, teachers, and all others who come into contact with children model appropriate behaviors

  • We believe "it takes a village to raise a child" that the family, school, and community play critical roles in the development of children and should work closely together in order to provide a stable learning environment for children
